"Being an owner of two credit cards it astounds me that so many people like myself never read the fine print. Not once looking at the correct interest rate and terms and conditions.

You just merely sign up and starting charging not worrying about the interest charged at the end of the month as "It must be right", "The banks know what they are doing". This is where we all go wrong. Banks are in this industry to make money and many unassuming consumers just sign up and start spending and start increasing the profits of these companies.

Only just the other day I called my credit card company only to find out that I was being charged interest every day a huge 19.75%, to my astonishment whilst on the phone I was offered a rather large increase on my card limit along with other so called perks. If I was to pay off my balance for two consecutive months I would only be charged interest if the balance was not paid in full by the end of the third month. I then decided that this credit card was not suitable for me, the rewards were great but you needed to spend quite a bit of money to receive an item valued at $50.00.

So I went on a search for a better credit card to suit my needs and spending habits. My search brought me to Credit Card City, I still have a bit of research to do on this site but they seem to understand what a consumer wants and the best options available."

Credit Card City saved me time, money and hours of frustration. When searching on line for a credit card to suit me I came across this website with a variety of different banks and lenders and found the credit card awards which ranks the best credit cards in Australia for 2008.

Not only did they give me a breakdown of each banks cards and interest rates but they also gave me a few options to choose from. It definately made me re-assess my decisions of just signing up for credit card when my bank decided they wanted to "offer" me something more rewarding.

With all credit cards out there it pays to read the fine print, but as long as you do your research and find the card that best suits you you will never sit at home scrutinusing each statement that arrives in the mail and barely understanding the "extra charges".

Thanks Credit Card City.
